Patched Lately?

Patches are cute ...
Small things that can either enhance the beauty of an item or prolong its usefulness. People who love decorative patches visit vintage shops that sell them and then apply them to denim or leather jackets. And then there are people who need more utilitarian patches, because their job results in clothes with holes and they need to make sure that what they are wearing is useable and protective.

Cookies!

Everyone loves cookies, right?
They're sweet, come in all kinds of amazing flavors, and when they are fresh out of the oven, taste like pure heaven. Fresh-baked cookies can melt all our stress away. But consuming too many cookies is bad for our health.

Got an Ad You Can’t Shake?

It's Friday night ...
And your brother calls. He's getting ready for the weekend and has a question about his lawnmower. You answer it, shoot the breeze for a bit, and then hang up. It's been a long week and your main objective is to make sure your recliner doesn't escape.

Well, last week, the City of Baltimore had to write lots of paper receipts, after attackers launched a successful ransomware attack called RobbinHood that took down many of the city’s computer systems.

What Is the Wayback Machine?

Is it a time machine? Can it take me back to the time when I was (insert obsolete technology) old? Well, sort of, but not really. The Wayback Machine is a web site run by a non-profit organization called the Internet Archive. Beginning in 1996, this organization started archiving web sites on the Internet, stating “Universal Access to All Knowledge” as its mission.

Don’t Be the Next Victim of a Caller ID Spoofing Scam

Spoofing is the practice of falsifying information to gain an advantage, usually monetary. Specifically, it is when a caller changes the caller ID to transmit a different phone number than the actual number of the originating call or text. It is ridiculously easy to do with apps and instructions freely available on the Internet or as a paid service.
